| We are a small kennel located in Watertown, New York. We are about 30 minuets from the Canadian Border and the beautiful Thousand Islands of upstate New York. We got started with our Aussies about 6 years ago-so you could say that we are fairly new in the Aussie World. Once we got our first Aussie, it was like chocolate, had to have another, which led to 3 more and NOW an additional 2 for a total of 6!!! Our dogs are registered with the American Kennel Club (AKC) and The Australian Shepherd Club of America (ASCA). Pawmi is a registered kennel name with ASCA. Our Aussies"own" us and they run our home. They live indoors, and sleep with us at night. They go in and out of the house as they please and have access to 4 very large chain linked yards. We can close them off and have 4 separate areas or open them all up and have 1 big area or any combination in between. We have about an acre of land and have access to trails and wooded areas so, we are always on the go (except when the North Country winter hits). I also have a springer attachment on my bike, which allows the dogs to run until they tire out and provides me an opportunity to exercise along with them. We have a ball! |
| I am an owner/handler and do confirmation showing with my male, Rover and female, Kelsey. We compete in AKC dog shows here in the United States, (usually just in New York state), Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) dog shows in Ontario, Canada and ASCA sanctioned events (usually just in New York state). Rover is a Canadian Champion and is AKC pointed. Kelsey is CKC pointed and we are hoping to finish her sometime in 2010. I am hoping to join agility and/or fly ball in the near future and would love to try disc. Also would love for them to try some herding and thinking about obedience and rally. There are lots of opportunities and hopefully, I can keep up with them! Our Aussies are a part of our family, first. Showing, and other things come second. I am a stay at home dog mom and devote most of my time to them. They are loved and catered to a lot! I have a registered business for Gifts, Toys and Collectibles and enjoy attending the local farmers markets, festivals and other vending venues throughout the year. I hand make fleece doggy toys and blankets for pets and people as well as selling of pet toys and gifts. Some of my products can be viewed on the "Store Page". Please feel free to contact me for additional information and pricing. My husband is a big help around the show ring and I don't know what I would do without his love and support. For that, I thank him. He sure puts up with a lot of my antics!!! He is originally from Maine and is retired from the U.S. Army where he devoted 21 years of his life. He now drives a tractor trailer locally and really loves his job. He also enjoys hunting, fishing, diving and taking rides on his Harley. In addition to our furry family, we have 3 children all in their twenties and in the local area. We don't spend nearly enough time with them because everyone is so busy, busy, busy but we do value and cherish the times we are able to spend with each other. *We bred our female, Kelsey, to our male Canadian Champion Rover, and had 7 puppies in December 2008!!! You can see the "Puppies Page" for pictures and their continued development. **NEWS FLASH: We had an accidental breeding between our male Canadian Champion Rover and Comfort. 4 puppies were born on December 13, 2009 and will be available on or about February 7, 2010. They are all Blue Merles with 3 males and 1 female. You can see these puppies on the "Available Page". So now that you know a little about us, please just sit back, take a look through our site and enjoy the journey. Feel free to contact us with any questions or just to talk about the breed.
